SYNTHESIS
Integrative Synthesis
Social Needs and Pathways to Integration
2. Economic Stability and Social Protection
Integration requires economic security.
We examined:
Access to social benefits
Supported employment
Administrative barriers
Vocational reintegration
Income stabilisation
However, employment is not the only pathway to integration.
For individuals with long-term homelessness histories or advanced multimorbidity, meaningful participation may take other forms:
Volunteering
Peer roles
Community engagement
Civic participation
Integration must remain realistic and person-centred.
